KMart Responds in Kind, Almost

If Big W can have a mega toy sale starting July 3, KMart can rustle something together as well right? Well maybe on the surface… here’s a few deals, though none quite as daring as the ultra-cheap 360 console. A nice price on the Pro though if you want that Hard Drive and component cables included.

GAME - You call that a sale?

Highly dubious! Anyone else who has signed up to GAME’s email newsletter would’ve received a promotion about MGS4 ($119.95, yeah a promotion, not a sale).

Then below it, they say GAME MID YEAR SALE! Prices slashed! What, like Assassin’s creed for $59.95? Save $60? That game is 9 months old, and there’s about 20+ copies of it on eBay which I’m wagering you could buy for half that. Come on GAME, lift your act, if you’re going to put on a sale, put on a damn sale!

Re: MGS4 – What’s with this game? PS3 fanboys would have you believe that this game is the second coming of their favourite shiny black console. However at retail, games like GTA IV and Halo 3 launched down here with far more hype, and as a result got far more competitive pricing! Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be enough hype around the game in Aus to justify cheap prices, sad for consumers. Or perhaps it’s just because the PS3’s no region-locking equals less local sales, who knows?
